Sitting proudly on a knoll at the edge of Kennebunkport, Maine, the English Meadows Inn is just an eight-minute walk to the Village and to Dock Square. Rolling lawns, lush gardens and tree-lined streets with quaint shops tempt guests to take a relaxing stroll along the beach or around the bustling harbor.
Homemade baked goods are a daily feature. An English "tea" is available in the afternoon, upon request.
Guestrooms. The guestrooms at English Meadows reflect the style of an English country house. Chintz, floral patterns and stripes are featured on bed linens, curtains and pillows. All of the rooms have featherbeds with down duvets. Antique oak, mahogany, and New England cottage furniture decorates the rooms and common areas. The English Meadows Inn has its own collection of oriental rugs, paintings and prints. Wine glasses, wine openers and sherry decanters in each room add a touch of elegance.
Expert Tip. Presently a lovely Victorian guest abode housing eight rooms and a suite, the carriage house was originally used as a barn to house cattle, by the builder and former owner.
